Our writing tutors are committed to each student’s learning, not just to their good grades. That means our writing coaches will not write essays for their students. Instead, they will advise, encourage, and make suggestions. They’ll ask questions to help the student look at their own work with a new perspective and a critical eye. They’ll teach outlining skills and other strategies to make the task less daunting. They will edit and critique. This can be a challenging but growing process, but in the end students emerge with a new confidence in their personal writing ability, and a set of skills that they’ll use for the rest of their lives.

Although many websites offer essays for sale, students should know that buying a pre-written essay or copying other people’s work is extremely risky, as a growing number of teachers and admissions officers use anti-plagiarism software. A longer-term consequence of plagiarism is that it prevents students from developing the thinking and writing skills that will help them succeed in college and careers.
