How can I get free tutoring?
1 On 1 Academic Tutors is a government-approved provider of free tutoring services in Los Angeles and New York City. Our free tutoring program is available to students who attend qualifying schools, are eligible for free or reduced school meals, and submit enrollment paperwork during their school district’s enrollment period. Learn more about eligibility for the free tutoring program here.
What times are your tutors available?
Seven days a week at any time. You and your tutor can schedule appointments that work for you both.
Do I have to commit to a certain number of hours?
We do not require any long-term commitments from our private tutoring clients. You can sign up for a single hour or as many hours as you want—it’s completely up to you.
What curriculum materials do you use?
We adapt curriculum and materials to meet the needs of our students. During the school year, students often prefer to use their own textbooks, so our tutors build lesson plans around those materials. When a student wants to focus on a general topic, our tutors can give a diagnostic test to determine their academic needs and provide related materials.
