Government Certification

1 On 1 Academic Tutors’ free tutoring programs are made possible by the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001. This federal act created funding for “Supplemental Education Services” (SES) to assist students at under-performing schools as they boost their scores on standardized tests.

The process for a company to become an approved SES tutoring provider is rigorous and demanding. 1 On 1 Academic Tutors has demonstrated that our tutoring services produce measurable results in students and that our company is committed to compliance with all federal, state, and local school district regulations. In all aspects of our organization, we hold ourselves to the same high standards for employee and contractor training, human resources compliance, and financial record-keeping.

We are proud of that our reputation for excellence has earned our company government approval with the California State Board of Education and New York State Education Department. We are approved providers of SES tutoring in the areas managed by the Los Angeles Unified School District and New York City Department of Education.
