The SAT Subject Tests (formerly known as the SAT II exams) are 20 tests of advanced knowledge, typically taken by high school juniors or seniors in preparation for college admissions. Many competitive colleges require or strongly recommend that applicants submit scores for three or more SAT Subject tests. Sometimes students who are applying to a specific program or major will be required to submit scores for the SAT Subject Tests in relevant subjects. Unlike the Advanced Placement exams, scores on the SAT Subject tests typically cannot be exchanged for college credit. Each test lasts one hour, and they are typically administered on the same days as the SAT.

A great score on an SAT Subject test proves that you know your stuff, are ready to handle a college curriculum, and will be a great addition to their student population. For students who want to wow an admissions committee, help from an SAT Subject Test tutor can make a huge difference.
